The Town of Wrightsville Beach announced this week that paid parking begins again on March 1, 2019. The hourly rate has increased to $3.00 per hour or $17 per day.

Per the Town of Wrightsville Beach's website:

Parking is enforced from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (7 days a week), unless otherwise posted,  with the following exceptions:

Paid Parking will be enforced from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the following parking lots:
South Lumina Parking Lot (near the Oceanic Restaurant)
East & West Salisbury Street Parking Lots (adjacent to Johnny Mercer's Pier)
North Lumina Parking Lot ("L" shaped lot)
North Wrightsville Beach Parking Lot (adjacent to Shell Island)
Wynn Plaza - Paid parking will be enforced from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m

Truck and trailer parking is not permitted on Old Causeway Drive, Keel Street, and Marina Street year round.  Truck and trailer parking is not allowed on Pelican Drive and Causeway Drive between March 1st to October 31st.

Wrightsville Beach Park Parking Lot, Town Hall Parking Lot, Visitors Center, and Museum Lots will require a pay station receipt in order to park in these areas from March 1st to October 31st between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily.  The first two hours of parking are free with a valid parking receipt being displayed on the dash.  Unless a valid 2 hour free parking receipt is displayed, paid parking at $3.00 per hour will be enforced.

Vehicles parked on residential streets on Harbor Island must display a vehicle identification decal, or a residential hang tag.  These streets are as follows:

2018 has come and gone, a bit too quick and a bit too long. But nevertheless, the year has ended and we can take a look at how the Wrightsville Beach real estate market fared overall in 2018.

Single Family Residences

Wrightsville Beach saw 42 single family residence homes close in 2018. The total listing volume of these closings equaled $61,917,000 and $57,951,999 in sold volume. The average asking price of these properties was $1,474,214 and the average sold price was $1,379,810. The median asking and sold prices of these homes were $1,322,500 and $1,250,000 respectively. Their average days on the market and the average cumulative days on the market were 223 and 232 days respectively with median days and cumulative days on the market of 56 and 88 days. These closings had an average sold price to list price ratio of 94.0% and a median ratio of 96.0%.
 

Condos and Townhouses

Wrightsville Beach saw 70 condos and townhouses sell in 2018. The total listing volume of these closings equaled $54,463,149 and $51,982,900 in sold volume. The average asking price of these properties was $778,045 and the average sold price was $742,613. The median asking and sold prices of these homes were $725,000 and $697,000 respectively. Their average days on the market and the average cumulative days on the market were 145 and 190 days respectively with median days and cumulative days on the market of 66 and 74 days.
