Banks Channel Swim Advisory Lifted - Get Your Trunks On

Lumina News reported that the swimming advisory for Banks Channel that was put into place two weeks ago (between Snyder and Seashore Streets) was lifted by the Division of Environmental Health as bacteria levels are back in line with the EPA's standards for safe swimming and water play. And with temperatures projected in the 90's all week, a dip into Bank Channel may be in order.

Wrightsville Beach Fishing Report - 6/17/2010

We were checking out the fishing report for last week on FishermansPost.com and it looks like action is heating up around Wrightsville Beach. Arlen, of Tex's Tackle (on Eastwood Road), reported that flounder bites has increased inshore and around the inlets and red drum have been active around the Masonboro jetties.

The report went on to say that spanish mackerel fishing has slowed down while king mackeral bite has been strong in the 10-20+ mile range.
